DESCRIPTION:Bridgeport’s Annual Consumer Class Action Conference explores
  and explains the changing landscape of consumer class actions.  This yea
 r’s program will include a review of the cases pending before the Suprem
 e Court that will affect class action litigation\, the current state of th
 e law on ascertainability and standing\, Standing to Pursue Statutory Clai
 ms\, the Fairness in Class Action Litigation Act of 2017\, Mooting Class A
 ctions Through Unaccepted Offers of Judgment\, CFPB’s Prohibition of Con
 sumer Arbitration Agreements and a discussion of “hot topics\,” includ
 ing labeling  and data breach disputes.  The program also will include a
  nuts-and-bolts roundtable discussion of tactics and techniques that will 
 allow plaintiffs’ and defense attorneys to candidly share what technique
 s employed by their adversaries they find the most effective.  The progra
 m is co-chaired by Kevin Ruf of Glancy\, Prongay &amp\; Murray LLP and Bet
 hany Kristovich of Munger\, Tolles and Olson LLP.
