Wage & Hour 2018 Mid Year Update webinar

PAGA remains the hottest topic in the California Wage & Hour landscape.  Wage & Hour practitioners have fittingly labeled PAGA “the Wild West” and the saga continues.  Employees are increasingly relying upon PAGA when foreclosed from pursuing class action litigation and employers are left trying to figure out how to deal with PAGA when they are very-quickly looking down the barrel of millions of dollars in potential exposure.  Like PAGA, the FCRA is quickly becoming another powerful vehicle with the Wage & Hour bar seeing a huge uptick in class action filings.  Bridgeport’s mid-year Wage & Hour Update explores and explains in-depth, the critical and changing aspects of Wage & Hour litigation.  This year's program will focus on key developments in the case law such as Syed; the impact the Kim v. Reins decision will likely have on wage and hour litigation; the Esparza/Lawson split; the aftermath of Williams v. Superior Court;; and the enforcement and litigation of arbitration agreements.   The unique format for the webinar will feature an explanation and then discussion of the aforementioned topics.
